Q: Veneers and shifting teeth

I'm planning on getting veneers, however...about two years ago I got my braces off, and haven't been very good about consistenly wearing my retainer. It's been about 4 months since I last wore it, my teeth shifted after the first 2 months, and have since stayed the same.

My question is once I get the veneers, will I have to have another retainer made and wear it consistently, even though I feel my teeth have shifted enough to stay the same? If so, is there a possibility of getting a permanent retainer?

Thanks!

If you are not consistent with your retainer I would ask for a permanent one to be fitted. Teeth do tend to move anyway as you get older and you may find this is more of a problem for you.
