I have been diabetic for seventeen years and vegetarian for eight. People always cringe and crap on about how a vegetarian diet isn't healthy so it must be bad for my diabetes but my old endo was very excited when I decided to do it. I have fairly perfect control, perhaps a little on the low side so maybe a bit tight, just wondering if anyone has combined these two diets before? Cannot find recipes for it so just make it up myself. Just interested in anyone elses experience with it really.

With diabetes you must govern what you eat...Go sparingly on the fruits...Once you have had diabetes you do not rid yourself of it...You stay with the program and stay within the bounderies of carbo's and follow the correct diet...You must watch your drinks and check all sugar content...Take care...
