concerned about 2 weeks early delivery

How safe do you think it would be to attempt a VBAC ? My Dr says if the baby isn't too big and I dilated at least 4 or 5 cm by 38 weeks he would induce me so that I can attempt a VBAC instead of having to repeat a cesearen .
