I have developed redness, swelling and considerable tenderness (comparable to a burn) over a vein on the anterior aspect of the forearm of my left arm 2 weeks post wisdom tooth extraction surgery under GA. The vein appears to be hardening and this is spreading up my forearm. Could this be thrombophlebitis? If so should I be concerned as there is a family history of blood clots on my fathers side of the family!
