Depression Answer A4813
The term “depression” is often used for a negative change of the mood, not considering the intensity of the change. In many cases it does not indicate a disease. The depression as disease can be caused by factors from the surrounding, and sometimes from factors within the human body itself. The former might be transitional, and easier to treat.

If the negative change of the mood is not so severe to influence the everyday life and work of the person, than several suggestions might be taken in consideration before visiting the doctor:
1. Changes in the everyday routine might be beneficial.
2. Activities that are preferred by the person and not obligatory might improve the mood
3. Increased activity might decrease the mental stress, which is one of the chronic reasons for depression.
4. If the person suffers from chronic fatigue, a good rest might be the only solution needed.
5. Adequate diet might be helpful in cases of inadequate intake of certain minerals.
If the problems continue to exist, you might want to consult a psychologist or psychiatrist or nutritionist.
