There might be several causes for the symptoms you provided (bleeding after intercourse and lower abdominal pain). The bleeding might originate from cervical polyps which were irritated with the intercourse or cervical dysplasia (a condition in which a mucosal tissue similar to the one found in the uterus is present in the vagina).

Uterine polyps or uterine fibroids originate from the uterus and can still cause bleeding after intercourse.

Other causes for your condition might include infections caused by yeast infection, or sexually transmitted diseases. However, these infections are usually characterized by other symptoms such as itching or discharge which were not mentioned by you.

As you can see, there might be many causes for bleeding after intercourse, so you might want to visit your gynecologist in order to determine the exact cause. A physical examination as well as a vaginal and cervical swab might be needed. The treatment would depend on the diagnosis.
