hello,
I would like to pls inform me about hernias because is something that makes me very anxious.
I went to a doctor a while ago after having a sperm test with low sperm count and speed and told me i have 2 varicoceles one of mild degree and one of small degree. Also he found that i have bubonocele. He told me i have to have an opration to fix all these. The operation i have to do is open surgery. (i am fat thats why he said i will do the operation open).
Now my problem is. I do not mind the pain i will have to suffer but i just want to know if there is any danger of permanent damage and become totally infertile. I do not want to have the danger of never having a baby. Will the operation improve my fertility?
Pls help me with this question of mine.
Thanks in advance

Extremely eHealthy
The appearance of inguinal hernia and varicocele at the same time is usually frequent.
Fertility is usually not affected by an inguinal hernia or hernia surgery. But, there are some chances that surgery or a complicated hernia cause injury to the tube that carries sperm.
Also, left complicated hernia and hernia repair can cause damage to blood vessels that supply the testicles with blood, leading to impaired fertility.
Varicoceles are the most common reason for male infertility.
They need to be repaired as soon as possible.
There are also chances to develop varicoceles after inguinal hernia repair.

Best wishes!
Marija
