I have always had terrible eyes since I was little, but have been feeling increasingly self-concious about it as the years have gone on.
In addition to fairly severe hyperopia and astigmatism, I also have strabismus which varies between extropia when up close to esotropia at distance. My vision is good (20/20) corrected with glasses, but they are deeply unattractive due to the thick lenses.I have binocular vision with the glasses, but I get double vision after driving for more than a couple of hours, and when I'm tired.
I was wondering if there was anything I could do? I was thinking maybe IOLs might well deal with the refractive errors enough so that I could have the strabismus fixed, but the varibility of the strabismus makes me think it might be a lot more complicated.
