Hi there.
I just recently lost my virginity, and have had sex a few times since then. Everytime I do, the inital pentration hurts. It's fine as soon as he's in and we get going, but the first time he pentrates me, it hurts. Not as much as the first time, but still enough that I have to ask him to go slow, and we can't start with me on top, because it hurts too much. As soon as we've gotten past the first few thrusts its ok. Is this normal, and will it go away the more I have sex? Should I go see someone about it?
I dont feel anything weird or odd afterwards, and its fine if we change postitions and re-insert. Its just the first time. Thanks for the advice!

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

During the initial penetration a little bit of pain is usual as the pelvic muscles are tight. You can ask your partner to increase the foreplaytime so that more of lubrication is there and less pain is felt. Also you can use artificial lubricants if required because lack of lubrication causes pain.
If the pain increases or any other symptom arises kindly visit a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take Care!
