For 3 weeks I have noticed the opening to my vaginal is swelling. It encompasses the entire opening, and appears like a little swollen ridge. At first it was primarily on the left, but now the whole opening is swollen. Sex is very painful and nearly impossible, but only hurts at the opening and just behind it. My boyfriend says I feel much tighter during sex. I don't seen any cysts or drainage, and minimal redness. It almost looks like I'm trying to regrow my hymen! I have tried not having sex for a week and it doesnt improve. I went to the doctor and he was unsure what was causing this, but presribed me estradiol cream, which isnt helping. I am an RN and can't find any info on this. Help!!
