Q: Vaginal discharge

Hello, I am 36 and I had a baby a year ago, I have two boys.I was fitted with the coil a month after my baby was born last year.And after that I have always had a bit of discharge and this past month I started having a slight brown discharge, not smelly.I also had a bit of pain during sex.I am scared of cervical cancer, but my smears have always been normal.Could this have been caused by the coil?
