I've been having problems with vaginal discharge for almost 3 years. The discharge is thick and yellowish and smells somewhere between rotten milk and sweaty feet. It is significantly worse right before my period.

I have passed lumps of whitish tissue the size of a dime once.

I have seen 5 or 6 gynecologists, and haven't had any success in figuring out what it is. I can tell you what it is not:

- Yeast infection
- Bacterial vaginosis
- Trichomoniasis
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Cervical cancer
- Forgotten tampon

The Pap smear came back normal, as did the numerous wet mounts. I do not use any medications (including hormonal birth control), I drink enough water, am not sexually active and do not use tampons or insert anything into my vagina.

I have tried antibiotics, natural remedies (such as acidophilus and vinegar) and have taken all medications exactly as they were prescribed.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I'm getting to the end of my rope here and any help is appreciated.

Thank you!
