I just went to the restroom earlier and was wiping and got a lot of brownish, gooey discharge. I dont hurt or have any symptoms, I feel normal. I am wondering if it is because I havent taken my birth control. i had sex with my fiance earlier today but we were protected. i havent taken my birth control for a week because i forgot to get my prescription refilled from my doctor. I am just wondering if it is because of that or what should I do. Please help me I am very concerned.

Since you are off birth control, your body is starting to regulate its hormones once more. You will have various kinds of cervical mucous throughout the month (dry, sticky, lotiony, and eventually egg white which is really globby and stretchy and the most fertile). As long as your discharge is not yellow or green, it is okay. It is most likely brown due to leftover blood from your period or spotting.
