Hi ladies,
I was just wondering if you experience thicker or creamier vaginal discharge when you're sick (i.e. have a fever, the flu, or a cold)?
Thanks,
Jasmine

I have never noticed any correlation with the amount or texture of vaginal discharge during illness however it does change with your cycle during the month and if you are having hormonal changes.

I
That is an interesting question. I personally never noticed any changes, but at the same time I never really pay attention to my vaginal discharge enough to notice. I tried to research it but couldn't find anything, so I think that it might just be cycle changes and have nothing to do with being sick if you are experiencing this. You could always ask your doctor if you are curious; they should know.

Hmm okay thanks. Yeah, I was just wondering because I had a fever of 40 degrees celcius, and I've been sick with a bad cold for about a week. During this week I noticed my discharge was kind of lumpier and creamier. It doesn't itch or anything, just the texture's changed.
Speaking of discharch, a quick question: when it dries, is it normal for it to have a yellow tint to it? :S

If it is very slightly yellow and you don't notice any kind of foul odor it is normal. If it's a darker yellow or there is an odor it could indicate some kind of bacterial infection like a yeast infection.

It may be a yeast infection. Also if you are ovulating, the discharge can be thicker and sticker.

Okay, I don't think it's a yeast infection. Ever since I can remember my discharge when it dries has a yellow tint to it..not DARK yellow, but light. Maybe it's just normal then. :S
