i dont believe its ok to count on that alone as the only means of birth control but I like the stuff...i try to use it along with the pill just to ease my mind...the only downside is you have to put it in about 15 minutes before intercourse for it to be effective..so you have to sort of anticipate getting lucky lol..but it hasn't caused any irritations or anything for me...i have had no problems with it!

I know this sounds stupid but lets say it was in 15 mins prior and then you had oral..I am assuming it tastes disgusting for him? I don't think oral would "wash away" the spermicide. But oral is a good way to wait for the 15 mins ya know.

ummm...i think so long as you insert it in deep enough that shouldn't be a problem...no oral wont wash it away because he's only around the clitoris and the VCF is inserted deep inside..so you couldn't wash it away...my boyfriend hasn't said anything..he can't tell when i use it and when i dont...and if he could he would definitely say something..we're not shy at all around each other haha...

Thanks! I am currently on Tri Sprintec and I really prefer not to be on any hormone based contraceptives I have bad side effects from them all so I figured I'd give these VCF a try as I got a package of 3 for samples!

i wouldn't reccommend using VCF alone ! i cant tell you off the top of my head but i wanna say it has like a 72% success rate? i believe...read on the package its definitely NOT as effective as condoms or the pill so if you are looking into using this i'd use it along with a condom just to be safe!
