Hysterectomy Answer A5839

The vaginal bleeding during a period occurs because the inner lining of the uterus is detached. So, after a hysterectomy when the uterus is removed, there is no more source of bleeding. In certain cases, the wound itself can cause bleeding for several days after the surgery. Once that bleeding stops, any further bleeding is considered pathological and needs a medical examination.
