I need some help, I am new here, and a little sad to hear on one of the posting from some one who had the same symptoms as me. I have urinary incontinence, and during sex I cant feel anything, and my husband cant feel any tightness at all he says he feels no pressure or anything. I told that to my gynecologist, and she recommented taking out uterus and vaginal anterior posterior repair. I just got it done, and I saw a posting in here where someone had it done with same problem and that her sex was still the same with no feeling for either partner. The doctor also told me it was going to be like before I had kids stage. I am 34 years old, and I am afraid same thing is going to happen to me, I had surgery 2 weeks ago. Can anybody please tell me if you had this done, and if you had the same outcome as the other person, or was your surgery a success. Please if anyone can advise me on this surgery and your experiences, or if you know anyone who had this problem. Thank you so much

posterior repair.
I am sorry but I cannot help you with any advice as I am only going in for a tvt and a posterior repair on 3 April 2009 and am looking for info myself. Its been a while since you had your surgery....how are you? Do you mind sharing with me if there was any improvement in your sex life at all. I am having the posterior repair to tighten my vagina hopefully so an anxious to know whether it will really help.

vaginal repairs
I am on my 7th week recovery after surgery, ive had two repairs and my womb lifted and secured. I came out of hospital after 3 days. I could not pass urine properly without pain and only dribbled. When home through the night i had to call nurses out to my home to insert catheter, i had a bladder infection and retention, this was extreamly exhausting and painfull. After five days my bladder started to work properly without catheter. 3 weeks in recovery i then had an infection in vagina or womb and was on antibiotics. 5 weeks later antother infection. Stitches started to fall out after 5 weeks. Now i am waiting to see my doctor as i am still in pain and have green sticky discharge , it feels like i have another prolapse. Has anyone else had these problems after surgery. Thanks

Hello there, i would see your doctor if i were you, you may have an infection. Mine was a very strong odour..sounds horrid but it was like rotting meat. The antibiotics cleared mine, but i now have another infection and feels like another prolapse. With housework i was told to do a little no hoovering or lifting, and listen to your body if it hurts dont do it. Im hoping to see my doc next week as i have a period now, then be refered to my surgeon. I hope you get yours sorted. Dee
