Hello, you probably just need to relax. When I first got my period and started trying to use tampon's, I could not get them to go in at all either because I was not relaxed enough and was afraid it was going to hurt or I was going to put it in wrong or something, but if you just take a deep breath and relax your muscles down there, it is really easy. Also, I don't know what position you tried for getting it in, but I find it way easier when just sitting on the toilet, as opposed to standing up. So you should try both positions to see if one works for you and just relax and try to slip it in. It is doubtful that your vagina is too small, but I'm not a doctor either, so I could be wrong. Hope this has been helpful, and remember, just relax all your muscles!

Good luck Smile

Your hymen can block the vaginal entrance. The best advice I can give is to lock your door, wash your hands, get a mirror and have a look to see what your vaginal entrance looks like.

Use a teen sized tampon with a plastic applicator. You should wait until you flow enough for the tampon to go in. If you are dry, it is difficult and painful to push in or pull out.
