Welcome to ehealthforum.
Given your current symptoms (swollen and achy vagina, pain on intercourse suggests a local infection which is called a 'vaginitis'.
I recommend you to get examined by your healthcare provider, and get a possible vaginal swab done o look for the cause of the infection.
•Meanwhile you can do sitz bath with Savlon or Betadine solution.
•Keep the area dry and clean.
•Avoid having intercourse until you find out the cause and get treated.
•Both you and your husband should get treated simultaneously to avoid reinfection. Use barrier contraception (condoms) while you are on treatment.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
