My vagina has been quite itchy for a while. I shave down there, and thought that it might have been the hair scratching me, so I shaved, and now it's even more itchy because the hair is growing back. I had tests done for all STI's last year, including HIV, so I know its not an STI, as I haven't had sex for more than 12 months. There doesn't appear to be any sores, ulcers, rashes and abrasions down there, but it is so itchy! Any Ideas? Confused

Sounds like a yeast infection.

You should probably go to the doctor to confirm it, especially for the first time. You can get over the counter medications for this, but I don't want you to start treating a yeast infection and then it turns out to be something else.

Pick up some medication for yeast infections right now, but check in with a doctor to make sure that's what it is as soon as you can.
