vagina itching

Embarassed Basically, I have had this annoying itchy feeling in my vagina like inside of the flaps sort of area.. like the moist part. It randomnly starts to annoy me and then i itch it but go too far and then it starts to hurt, sometimes even bleed.

Ive only had sex without a condom with one person and i do know that it could only take that one person to make this happen but it was like this briefly before i had sex with him but it went away before so i thought i might have been allergic to something like certain washing detergents...

a few months later a sort of spot was like near the bottom of my vagina,(on the left flap, erghh) but it went away a few weeks later.. this is when i started to notice that something may be wrong.. nothing like that has come back or happened again.. and its been a good while now and if it was going to come back it would of.
But I do still have this annoying itchiness. Its more or less ok when i leave it, but when i go toilet or have a shower after itching it. The only thing that i found soothes this is having a shower with hot water.. I may be over exxagerating because sometimes i get iritated and may wipe myself with tissue too hard.
I read something where it says that one of the reasons is that i could be either washing my vagina too much or not washing it enough but i think it would be more along the lines of washing it too much..
i also read something saying that you should use soap... but i thought that was wrong to do,which means i havent done that... i havent gone to the Dr because i am really worried and i have NEVER spoken to anyone about this before...

So i feel like i need someones advice before I go..

Please help me asap!!

Some soaps can cause irritation, like anything with scents or something like that.

I think it would be best to check in with a doctor, if it is something other than washing then its best to get things sorted out fast. Don't worry about talking to a doctor about this, they'll help and they've heard it all before Smile

Hey Sweetie, Go to a family planning clinic or gyno doctor and get there ASAP. Its a lot better to be safe than sorry. What if you knew you had a sore splace in your mouth like in one of your teeth. You would go to a dentist and have this place looked at (cavity) filled if necessary in order to not cause anymore damage to other areas-RIGHT....same goes for your HOO HOO. A gyno doctor could perform a variety of test to ensure you are safe from an sexually transmitted diseases, yeast infections etc. This is not something you can NOT treat yourself......I really don't think its got anything to do with soaps! Please see a doctor and stop your worrying! Keep us posted....we are here to help if we can! Hugs!

if there are any tiny white spots/areas at all have your doctor do a skin biopsy for lichen sclerosis.
it is an inflammatory condition that causes all your symptoms described.
i have had it for 15 years, it can not be cured, but can be managed.
a betamethsone steriod with canesten has been my best treatment so far.
