I have been a widow for some time and am past childbearing age (also have had tubal ligation). I have met the new love of my life (actually I've known him for 40 years, but we have only recently become romantic). He lives half way across the country right now, and in the two or three times we have been together and "become physical," I have developed a mild uti. We are both very clean and neither of us have an type of STD or other illnesses. Is it normal to develope UTIs after long absences of sexual encounters? Thanks for any info you can provide
