It hurts so bad right now..i've been having pains in my back just under the ribs...Its been lke that for a bout a week now, but right now it hurts so bad that i'm in tears, and i have to go to the bathroom so much (2-3 times an hour) and still I can feel a slight pressure...I thought maybe it was pms but then it started hurting worse...not something i'm used to..

I'm in alot of pain and i'm worried. what should i do? (i dont have the means or even the money to see a doctor, no insuarance, no car..you get the drift.)

edit- I forgot to mention i cant really sit comfertable without the pain in my back, laying down is the only way i can really get comfertable.

thats part of my problem i'm never very thirsty and when I am I dont drink water since it tastes bad to me.

I'm a little better, the antibiotic makes me feel sick and makes it hard to sleep. It took me forever to fall asleep cause everytime i laid down i either had to go to the bathroom or i felt sicker. Ended up after 2 hours moving to the couch so i could use the tv as a distraction, I fell asleep there.

but now that i've rested i do feel better my back isnt hurting as bad a yesterday, I'm guessing that was my bodies was of kicking me in the butt to go get this taken care of. (I'd suspected i had another one for the past month but ignored it..)

You should try drinking Canberry, Or blackcurrent with water if you dont like just water. I suffer with utis all the time and it sounds a little like the infection went to your kidneys. im glad you went to the doctors. just make sure you complete the whole course of antibiotics or they wont kill in the infections. plus if you dont see signs that it is getting better straight away dont worry the tablets can take up to a week to see the effect. Good luck

I'm going to be picking up some cranberry juice in the morning.

I am having one problem. They gave me Bactrim, i'm not sure of side effects but I've taken two pills (its been a day) and my crotch is burning. Is that normal?

Hi
Glad hear you are feeling a little better. You can also try drinking Vitamin Water they have one with cranberry juice as well as other good flavors (I don't like plain water either).

You need to watch for signs of a yeast infection when on an antibiotic (you mentioned burning, it could related to the UTI).

Ask your pharmacist about potential side effects of Bactrim.

Just an update Smile

I'm feeling wonderful right now, its been four days other then being a little nasueous and so fatigued and tired i couldnt get off the couch for a few days..I didnt have any side effects Oh and two days ago i got a stuffy nose and headache.

I've decided NOT to take the last day worth of pills. I cant do it..I know if I do it means back to the couch or the bed where i will be miserable and unable to even walk to the kitchen or bathroom without using the wall for support cause i'm to dizzy from my stuffy nose.

But yeah I'm pretty confident my UTI is gone, but i'll know for sure on the 19th when I see the doc for the follow up visit.
