Q: UTI - bladder pain

female,30. history of UTI , occute cystitis on and off for 5-7yrs, treated with antibiotics. but when urine test clear and symptoms of UTI,occute bladder pain most after intercourse (on next day), then what? antibiotics?

You may have interstitial cystitis, condition that results in recurring discomfort or pain in the bladder and the surrounding pelvic region, especially during menstrual period and sexual intercourse.
Symptoms are very similar to bacterial cystitis, inflammation of bladder due to infection, but no bacteria are present.
Also, tests could be false, and taking Trimethoprim, an antibiotic is usually suggested.
