I've been having pain in what feels like my uterus. The pains sometimes feel like a period which it isn't. Other times I feel a dull pain when lying in a specific position and then there are the sharp stabbing like pains that happen every now and then. They only last seconds and have become stronger and more frequent as the days go by. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now.

I am on the contraceptive pill (Yasmin) which I have read is a "low dose" pill and I have been having what I think is referred to as breakthrough bleeding. The bleeding which isn't heavy occurs anything from 5 to 7 days before I'm supposed to get my period on the sugar pill week. My periods end a few days into the sugar pills as a result. Can taking a too "low dose" pill for my body cause me to ovulate therefore increasing my risk of falling pregnant?

Also been having headaches, vision problems related to headaches, nausea with headaches at times, moody, sensitive and cry easily.

Could I be pregnant????

PLEASE HELP!!

It sounds like you need to switch pills.

How long have you been taking Yasmin? Have you always had these side effects?

Contact your birth control provider and tell them your symptoms. They will likely switch you to another pill.

I've been on Yasmin for about 3 years but recently went to another doctor who must have given me a lower dose. The symptoms of headaches nausea, and my emotional behaviour has been going on for a few weeks but the period before the actual period is supposed to start has been going on since the new doctor.

Thanks for your reply.
