I am 35, once pregnant but miscarried 3 years ago...
I had an ultrasound yesterday which showed I have several ovarian cysts (don't know what kind yet) and a "mass" in my uterus. I have had irregular menstral cycles with heavy bleeding and pain. Also pain and bleeding after intercourse. I have been trying to get pregnant for about 8 or 9 months now. My menstrual cycles happen longer (about 10-12 days) than usual (about 5days), then stops for a few days, then starts again. LOTS OF CRAMPING during the whole time - like the first day of my period through the whole time. This is getting progressively worse each month..this has been going on for about 10 months. I don't see my gyno for another two weeks to discuss the ultrasound... wondering what this could be and what options can I give my gyno when I see him??? I am TRYING TO GET PREGNANT so I don't want to take Birth control or meds that will prevent ovulation...

birth control is probably one of the best and easiest methods to regulate your period. Having a regular period and ovulating is the key in getting pregnant. having irregular periods can cause all types of hormonal problems that can give you cyst. I would get on birth control for a few months regulate my period and address the cyst issue because being pregnant with ovarian cyst can be VERY painful. Good luck everything will work out.
