Due to my PCOS, I've always had irregular periods, usually absent completely without birth control or a prescription for Provera. However, in the last two years they have started coming more regularly on their own. I'll usually go 3-4 months with no period, then have 2-3 in consecutive months.
I'm a little freaked out right now, because I have had three periods in a row in about 7 weeks time. They're of normal flow and length (3-5 days, with a little spotting for a couple days after), or sometimes come on the heavy side. Pretty painful cramping as well, which I'm not used to (my cramps are usually in my lower back, but these are in my front abdomen). Could this be in relation to the PCOS? I'm not taking any medications or birth control.
Thanks for your time!
