Q: Using Nuvaring & condoms

I have been on the Nuvaring for 5 months now. For the first 2 months I started my menstral cycle the day I took my ring out. On the third month it was a few days and now I am a week late. I have had sex a hand-full of times, but every time we use condoms as well.

My period started on the 14th of June and I inserted my new ring on the 19th of June, after my 1 week ring-free week. I had sex on June 28th, with a condom, and now my period is a week late.

I have taken several home-pregnancy tests, as well as a blood test at the hospital, and all have come back negative.

Is there a possibility that I am pregnant and if so, is it just too soon to tell?

And also, is it just simply common to not have a period while using the Nuvaring?

Please give any assistance at all, I am stressing myself to the max!

You are not pregnant.

You need to trust your chosen method of birth control. If you do not trust it, it will drive you crazy every time after sex.

Using the ring and condoms is VERY safe. Stop worrying and talk to your doctor if you do not trust the ring.
