Had pain in sacro joint after radiofrequency nerve block in lower back and doc said this was normal and suggested a cortizone shot. Now have pain from middle back to hip.

Your question involves pain coming from your right sacroiliac joint.

The sacroiliac joint is stabilized via two mechanisms, force closure and form closure. These terms related to the structure of the joint contributing to stability, and also how the muscles that surround the pelvic contribute to stability. Both of these aspects may need to be addressed in your situation in order to reduce pain.

However, since your pain is a 10, performing movements for the muscles may not be appropriate. I highly suggest looking into a sacroiliac joint belt to assist in reducing stress and pain. Diane Lee, PT, is a noted expert in this field. You can find more resources and the belt at her site.
