Is body mass index ( BMI ) Actually Reliable?
ghilliesnstrings / Weight Loss on 11-04-2007 21:08pm
So, I'm a little self-conscious, not because I'm in horrible shape, but because I'm short and stout: it's just a frame. However, I have this probably bad habit of checking my BMI, body fat percentage and waist-to-hip ratio. I feel like I'm in good shape. I feel like I've been in tons better shape lately too (even though I actually gained weight.... more

What Exactly Happens In Cystic Fibrosis?
ghilliesnstrings / Cystic Fibrosis on 09-13-2007 15:34pm
Hi there. So, my uncle (married to my mom's sister) died of Cystic Fibrosis before I was born, six months after he married my aunt. So, I knew that he had died, but I didn't know what he died of until very recently. So, I've started to wonder more about what this actually is. What exacly goes wrong? What symptoms happen? Foot Problems - Probably Bunion
ghilliesnstrings / Foot Disorders on 07-29-2007 20:57pm

Eye color also has more than one "letter," though I'm not su... more

How Can I Cure This Ocd?
ghilliesnstrings / Mental Conditions on 06-18-2007 16:41pm
thank you I really appreciate your help. And yes I too think underlying stress is the problem, when I get stressed out my ocd gets much much worse. Lately I have been having some health issues in my family, plus I am going to be quitting my current full time job to start my own business and I have a house to pay for so it's really stressing... more

What to Tell An Employer?
ghilliesnstrings / Dyslexia on 06-18-2007 16:27pm
I come from a families of dyslexics, even though I am not dyslexic. Out of the six of us kids, two are dyslexic, as well as my dad. My dad hires a lot, (he's a managing engineer), and he says that he would rather that a dyslexic person keep it to themselves, because he would think that they were playing for pity, or threatening to call discrimi... more
