I try to avoid food rich in purines, but even if I do eat such, I don't get anymore attacks - been a year since last bad episode. The answer? You can get gout in your fingers, feet and knees. I know an elderly nun who has gout in her fingers. She is a vegetarian but eats sea food occasionally. But you can conquer gout with dieting and detoxification.

I tried several proprietory cures but none worked. Since my last gout attack in jul 03 I have been gout free due to following a regimen I developed using fasting and detoxification. I have been able to eat food high in purines and have tested unfriendly foods to see if the gout would come back. So far it hasn't!
