Nti - Tss Appliance
jlsoroch / TMJ on 05-18-2006 09:26am
What exactly have you heard about the nti being bad? I was told by my dentist today that it can take months before you feel an improvement and to just stick with it. He wants me in every week to do adjustments and check it out and my insurance is maxed out, so I don't want to invest in this "device" only to make matters worse.

I just got my nti splint less than a week ago. I went back the next day to get it "adjusted" but it's not helped. I'm going back in a few days but in the meantime I think I will stop wearing it in the day. I haven't had any luck thus far. I hope an adjustment helps. Thanks for you input.

I'm totally upset, this cost me $850 and it's making it worse. I wear it a... more

Hi, I was just wondering if anybody could recommend a dentist they have dealt with or heard of in the toronto, ontario area. There don't seem to be a lot, Dr. Sigesmund has come up, however, he is not accepting new patiens. Dr. Rondeau is about 2 hours away from me. These are the only 2 I have heard of. Any input would be greatly appreciated!... more

Bite Splint/clenching Question
jlsoroch / TMJ on 05-04-2006 10:33am
I have a hard upper splint and I feel that it makes the problem worse, but like you, I too find that when I don't wear it my jaw is worse; it's like the splint has totally messed up my bite etc. I've been to several different dentists to get the splint fixed. One built up the front part of the slint (where my front teeth meet) so that would take ... more
