I may be wrong but I think there is a correlation between acne and sex. I believe more sexual contact will decrease the chances of breaking out. My belief is based on the idea that sex releases and regulates hormones. Similar to the idea that birth control pills is related to acne. Any input on my theory is welcome. I do shave but there were rather large that's why I never thought it to be ingrown hair. There were large and painful very very red i'm just glad I don't have it anymore. You just have to wait it out
