Sorry about your back. I had a prolased disc 8 years ago (i was 18) then went in to the hospital in the next few months to have a discectomy. It was a good move on my part and I dont regret it at all. I know that its easy to get down when all you can think about is the pain. my doctor has suggested that the next step will be an anterior interbody fusion with cages. I have already had a discectomy 8 years ago (when I was 18) I have a bad scoliosis, sciatica, constant numb tingling feet and a rational fear (well I think so anyway) of going back under the knife.
