I love your train station picture, as it describes so well what it feels like to have BD.
It has been said that many great artists or talented people suffered from BD, but could not have achieved their creations without the mania. I totally agree about Michaelangelo. I wonder if he also went through times of deep depression as well.

It is very common for people who are bipolar to be attracted to their mania. Also, I read that the part of your brain that is affected in bipolar disorder is also the part of the brain responsible for awareness of illness.
A good book to read about bipolar disorder is:

I think it means either an episode of mania OR a stage of depression that is maladaptive or harmful to herself or others.
