Oops, sorry. I must have skipped over the part about you being a male. Guess birth control pills can't be the problem here. But, other medications might can be. If you are on any meds, read about any possible side effects they may have, hair loss might be one of them.
I would see a dermatologist first, to rule out any scalp problems. Are you taking any new medications? Some drugs can cause this. If you are taking birth control pills, or recently went off them, this also can be a cause. The change in hormones can trigger hair loss. During the summer, its normal to lose more hair than in the winter. Stress can also cause hair loss. Hormones are a big factor. If you are taking birth control pills, they can cause hair loss too.
