Read a v. Good article on having bipolar. She really described it very well. My doctor gave me it as it is in the british medical journal and it was by the person who wrote the book I thought was so good. Everyone i've loaned both books to thought it was real helpful. Agree redfield jamieson is excellent - she expresses it all so well.
My family found the books by the johnstons good too as it give the account of the carer in one book and the patient in the other so that really helped my mom - hearing that another mother felt like she did.

Read loads of stuff some rubbish, some ok but have just read a really positive autobiography on living with it. The girl developed it her teens and is now and it is her story of getting it and being really really ill and then getting to grips with it.
