No episodes of ovulation since I posted about the grapefruit juice ... haven't had any of that, nor flax seed. No, periods did not return. I am just relieved ... the no-grapefruit, no-flax diet seems to have done the trick. However, once in a while I eat Asian food that has soy (otherwise I eat no soy at all), and I notice a little ovary twingin... more

My goodness, ladies ... we're all onto something here. Everyone seems to have a unique combination of symptoms, but everyone seems to have the discharge. I posted here a few months ago to say I was was having discharge/ovulation pain (am 55 and post-menopausal) and was going to stop eating grapefruit, as it is an estrogen booster. I'm 55 and am having the same exact experience with what is undoubtedly ovulation. In looking around online I found that, of all things, grapefruit "increases circulating estrogen." Now, I did have grapefruit a couple of times before and during this unexpected (have been two years period-free) ovulation, and so now will try NOT having any and see... more
