I recently had an ultrasound which suggested one ovary was enlarged. They seemed to think it was from an ovarian cyst. How sure can they be about that, though? Especially as I don't have the other associated symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome, and that doesn't usually hurt.

apparently my doctor’s going to do a blood test next week to see whether or not it is pcos, but even if it is, the pain is apparently not at all related to that, so what’s causing it? I’m pretty sure it’s not just “one of those things” .

One question - what exactly is the difference between chronic and acute pain? I'm not sure which one I have. :oops:
