Is there anyone who also has no elevated white cell count or sed rate or CRP in their blood tests while in the midst of an Ulcerative Colitis flare-up? Any idea why this happens or how it's even possible? Just doesn't make sense, and yet here I am with exactly that. Wonder how common it is.

Blood is never a good sign, and the mucus and cramping either. Could be signs of something serious, so don't delay it, really! Things can go downhill very fast, so see your doctor asap!

I have had ulcerative colitis (an IBD) for 25 years but was only recently diagnosed because a year ago I started to have bloody diarrea, weight loss, lethargy and weakness. I don't mean to alarm you, but this sounds very similar to what I experienced before they recently discovered I have ulcerative colitis.
