I'm just wondering where you live in ontario.
Typically a hard contact lens can be used on an irregular cornea, which I would imagine yours is.
You might consider seeking a second opinion.
If you are near the university of waterloo there are drs there that specialise in hard lenses.

It sounds like optic nerve head drusen, which is a benign condition. When searching for info be sure not to confuse it with macular drusen - same name, completely different condition. Hope this helps.

I disagree. Glaucoma does not have this type of presentation. I still feel it is an aura due to migraine. You have described the textbook presentation of it.
However, I would still recommend you have the back of your eye looked at to rule out any retinal problems (such as a tear or hole).

The reason that removing the cataract will not significantly improve your vision is due to the fact that it has been blocking light from getting to your retina since birth.
