Isotretinoin can not be prescribed by normal doctors in most countries it must be prescribed by a skin doctor (dermatologist). It has many side effects and you should have regular blood tests to check your liver functionality. If you do not have the blood tests you are putting yourself in unnecessary danger. Well I was 18 when I got rosacea and I know a number of other people that are of a similar age when they get rosacea.
Isotretinoin (accutane etc) became a generic medicice during 2002 meaning that roche's patents for it expired and now a number of pharmaceutical companies produce generic versions of isotretinoin under different brands
You can get rosacea at any age, althrough it is more common in the 30-40 age group. Unfortunately there are many dermatologists that know very little about rosacea (as there are not that many people with mild or severe cases). There is some more info at the /rosacea website directory
