When I was 17 I had a Harrington Rod surgery because I had double scoliosis - 74/72 degrees; my spine looked like an S. I have had 3 spinal fusions - 2002, 2003 and 2006. The last surgery was 14 hrs and dr. inserted bone graph from my hip in between my discs, and also metal cages to support discs, and inserted more and more screws, rods. I rehabbed... more

OMG, I am in the same situation and welcome your comments and advice. I had 2 Harrington Rod fusions in the 80's when I was young. I am now 47 and have 3 total spinal fusions in 5 years, last one 3 yrs ago. Total rehab 1st year; for 2 years now I have been active,healthy and on a lite exercise program.
