Always Hungry, Sleeping Problems, Can't Gain Weight
Dr. Murray Grossan / Sleep Disorders on 12-31-2010 13:31pm
This could be a form of GERD. This is stomach acid that comes up into your esophagus.

It may be that you are taking milk etc for the acid.
Check with your doctor about this.

Immediately try to raise the head of your bed so if it is an acid reflux, you may get relief.

Melanoma removal
Dr. Murray Grossan / Skin Cancer on 10-19-2009 21:33pm
The doctor takes the melanoma and it is looked at under the microscope. If all the edges are clear, then that means a successful removal. If some of the edges of the lesion are too close to normal skin, then he has to go back and make sure that an adequate margin has been achieved. On the one hand you don't want to remove more skin than necessary. ... more

Pain and inflammation in inner ear
Dr. Murray Grossan / Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders on 10-07-2009 02:09am
Hi Welcome to the forum! You had tubes (myringotomy) placed in as a child. This means you probably had recurrent infections as a child. While cleaning the ear, you had bleeding and loss of hearing. This could be because of injury some where in the external ear canal, injury to ear drum (very likely), middle ear infection, and inflammation of the ex... more

A chronic sinus condition will swell the openings to your eustachian tube and cause the blocked ears. Clear the sinus- try HUGE amounts of hot tea, lemon and honey. This stiulates the nasal cilia - these are the oars that that move the bacteria out. If that doesn't do it, try pulaatile irrigation. That also stimulates the cilia and removes thick ph... more

Causes of a stuffy nose
Dr. Murray Grossan / Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders on 09-27-2009 20:18pm
Stuffy nose at night might be due to the nasal valve. Try tilting the tip of your nose up. See if that opens you up. If it does, tape it up gently. Also, sleeping on high pillows reduces nasal swelling. If you have thick phlegm and postnasl drip you may want to clear that up with pulsatile nasal irrigation. There are lots of causes for stuffy nose... more

morning cold
Dr. Murray Grossan / Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders on 09-16-2009 19:59pm
Running nose in morning sounds like an allergy. Try taking hot tea BEFORE you get out of bed in AM. YOu can use a thermos or an automatic heater. This warms your body and avoids the AM sneezing which, in allergy, you are trying to warm up your body by sneezing and nose running. I have all my allergy patients take breakfast in bed this way.
