When we are anxiuos our body is prepared for figh or flight and adrenalin is produce and blood is diverted to our muscles ready to figh or run. Breathe in for a count of 7 and out very slowly for a count of 12, this should reverse the fight or flight reaction and help you to feel more calm. Alcohol will mess up your blood sugar and will spoil your sleep quality and may cause you to wake early. Stay away from caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and all stimulants, and get yourself into a strict routine. Not easy but it works.

I agree tottally with the previous replies it is good to talk. However anxiety and PTSD are subconsciously driven, and there is a technique called imagination creation which is helping many people.
