Oops - Biotin 5mg (not 5mcg)
Biotin supplementis great for hair & nails (I take 5mcg per day). For shampoo (my hair is fine too) I use Ojon brand products. They're pricey, but I love them. Good luck.
Just as an added note...my friend (mentioned in an earlier post) actually got hives swimming in the ocean, too. so I guess sometimes its just water! Wendyrs, I use "All Free & Clear" too - it's the best!
Olive oil, lots of high grade fish oil (read up on Dr. Barry Sears for more info). Also, I take a supplement called "red yeast rice extract" - which should be taken in combination with CoQ10 as well.
To drsnack99: from someone who has suffered from allergies from "day 1"... let me say that allergies are very, very unpredictable. Sure, you might become allergic to cats, but you might not! Don't plant that negative thought into your mind. My allergists over the years have told me definitely not to have cats or dogs. I didn't let that stop me fro... more
I know this sounds weird...but I had a friend years ago who got hives every time she was in water: showers, swimming, etc. She went to an allergist and he told her to limit her contact with water because she had developed an allergy to it!
