I am going through this as well. I had 2 moles removed on Friday and am awaiting results. There is only one safe thing to do, see a dermatologist. They are trained in what to look for. I went. He said the hard bumps on my arm/back are from picking at myself. That the skin in that area is not good at healing and my picking turned them into scar tissue. He just froze them off. Just more details. The red one on my side is smaller than eraser, and less than 1mm high. It is also not very firm (almost looks like blood under the skin) Ive been pooring over images on the web and it doesn't look like the pics I see of melanoma. Also, they are barely raised. looks like less than 1mm.
