JennJenn... you are only a week out and still recovering, so don't get too pessimistic yet. But if you continue to have pain, then go back to the doctor and address it then.

For years I thought I was one of a few people who have experienced this medical anomaly, but clearly this is a more frequent occurence just based on my limited web search. I've been dealing with a similar issue for the last 15 years! My pain comes and goes, but sometimes its fairly constant for months at a time (and then I can go a year without any pain). I had an appendectomy when I was 4 and believe this is the cause (at least in part) of my pain. Pain meds and nerve blocks don't provide significant relief. Insuran... more
