Did you find out anything? I was diagnosed in August 08. No one in my family has it and I didn't even recognize my symptoms seemed like diabetes. Just thought I was having too many problems all at once! But once I started insulin I have felt a LOT better It's difficult but worth it for sure. How Low Is Too Low?

The instructions from my diabetes educator are to 'treat' if I am at 75 or lower. (Treating meaning having some juice or at least 15 grams of fast acting carbs.) If your sugar level is aroung 100, have a small snack before bedtime (or some juice). Either that or start taking the largest dose of long acting insulin in the morning instead of the evening. If your sugar is at 75 or lower, you are technically having a low and should treat it with at least 15 grams of fast acting carbs. (My favorite is Capri Sun-its 17 grams and you can slurp it up really fast). Even at around 100 thats when I have some juice or a snack so it doesn't get lower from there.
