Pain under ribs after drinking
Mononucleosis on 09-20-2009
No, that is not a normal symptom of a hangover. Yes, you should probably go to the hospital. Whatever you do stop drinking. You shouldn't drink alcohol for six months after having mono, it can do serious damage to your liver. You are pretty young, so your liver is still developing, so it is really really bad for you to be drinking with mono. It doe... more

Mononucleosis and the flu shot
Mononucleosis on 09-17-2009
Hello,
I have mono and have been sick for several months now. I feel weak and tired all the time, and I feel like if I were to get the flu right now it would be life-threatening (particularly swine flu). Should I get a flu shot? Is there any danger to getting a flu shot with a weakened immune system? Thanks.

Addiction, Recovery on 08-29-2009

It would be like becoming addicted to cigarettes because you walk by somebody smoking once a day. And you can take xanax with your antidepressant. I'm not sure why he/she would have told you that, but he/she is wrong. I... more

Changed after first panic attack
Mental Conditions on 08-29-2009
Yeah, ever since my first panic attack I've had horrible anxiety. It's weird, because I was always happy and confident. Now I just doubt myself so much, I always feel like everything is going to come crashing down. I'm supposed to start grad school in portland in a few weeks and I'm really stressed about moving there. I'm starting to doubt I will. ... more
